About the books... Do you know if Pratchett wants to write a book to close the Discworld series?Would you like to? I would certainly like to read a Discworld novel with and opened ending but with an end at all. You know, to show that everything has an end, even the endless DW collection (as you said Fruitbat) and its creator’s life, but at the same time to let us see that both characters and him will continue their way beyond it.
Well doing something like Agatha Christie did with Poirot when she wrote Curtain in the early 1940's which sees the death of Hercule Poirot would be a fitting end. She wrote the book at the height of her powers and then locked it in a bank vault until she knew she wouldn't be writing anymore and released it over 30 years later in 1975. It's a great planned finale to a series.
