Terry Pratchett’s Mort

To be performed at the William Penney Theatre

in Tadley on the Hampshire/Berkshire border

Showing between 6th and 10th May

Death comes to us all. When it came to Mort, he offered him a job.

But when Mort is left in charge for an evening, he allows his heart to rule his head and soon the whole of causality and the future of the Discworld itself, are at risk.

Along the way, Mort encounters not only Death’s adopted daughter, Ysabell – who has been 16 for 35 years – and his mysterious manservant Albert – whose cooking can harden an artery at ten paces – but also an incompetent wizard with a talking doorknocker and a beautiful, but rather bad-tempered and dead, princess.

He also, of course, meets Death.

Something is amiss in the Kingdom of Lancre…

Local witches Granny Weatherwax and Nanny Ogg seem to have their suspicions, but are remaining deliberately cryptic.  Will their protégé Magrat Garlick manage to reveal the name of this unknown threat, or be too wrapped up in her own Royal Wedding plans to care?

Can Ridcully find his way through the Trousers of Time?

And will we ever see the Stick and Bucket dance ever again?

One thing is certain:  it’s circle time.

The “Lords and Ladies” are coming…

This amateur production of “Lords and Ladies” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH. LTD

Terry Pratchett’s WYRD SISTERS by Stephen Briggs

Thursday 13 – Saturday 15 March 2014 @ 7:30pm

This is Macbeth like you’ve never seen it before, and probably never will again! There’s a wicked duke and duchess, the ghost of a murdered king, some rather simple soldiers, actors and strolling players and a whole kingdom in trouble! The excitement would not be complete without Nanny Ogg, Magrat Garlick and Mistress Weatherwax, Terry Pratchett’s most fantastical witches!

To those die hard fans of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld it will all sound familiar and transport you into the amazing world of his stories. For those of you who are still confused – it will just be tremendous fun!

KATS present Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! by Stephen Briggs

 Thursday 21 – Saturday 23 November 7.45pm

Knebworth Village Hall

This is a comedy of epic proportions. It has swords, dragons, a hero, a damsel in distress. Carrot is different from the other dwarves – he’s six feet tall. There’s only one thing for it – he’ll have to leave and join the City Night Watch in Ankh-Morpork. It’s unfortunate that he’s arrived just at the moment when the city is under threat from a 60-foot fire-breathing dragon . . . perhaps the Librarian – whose dabbling in magic had the unfortunate side-effect of turning him into an Orang Utan – can help him.  To aficionados of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld it will all sound familiar. For the rest of us – it will just be tremendous fun!

Tickets £7, concessions £6
